Major Banks, Merchants Added to Growing Roster Affected by Breach
Update: Companies Impacted by Epsilon
Epsilon, an online marketing unit of Alliance Data Systems Corp., announced on April 1 that an outside intrusion had hacked into some of its customer files. Epsilon sends e-mail campaigns and offers to consumers who register for a company's website or who give their e-mail addresses while shopping. Epsilon sends more than 40 billion e-mails annually and also runs loyalty programs for Citi and Chase credit card users. As of April 18, 112 companies and brands have reportedly been hit. The most recent additions include:

On April 4, Epsilon posted an update on its website, stating approximately 2 percent of its client base had been affected by the breach. Since then, the list has continued to grow.

Here is a list of the companies known to have been affected by the breach, according to information collected from various sources. The Secret Service is investigating the breach.
