Security-as-a-Service Imperative: Predictive, Not ReactiveNTT's Security Division and Palo Alto Networks Share Details of New Partnership
For maximum effectiveness, security-as-a-service solutions can no longer simply be reactive, but must instead be predictive, which is the focus of a newly announced partnership between NTT and Palo Alto Networks.
Building on the organizations' previous collaborations, Matt Gyde, CEO of the Security Division of NTT Ltd., and Karl Soderlund, senior vice president of worldwide channels at Palo Alto Networks, say the partnership will help provide more predictive security capabilities to both NTT and its customers.
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA 2020, Gyde and Soderlund also discuss:
- The impetus for the partnership between NTT and Palo Alto Networks;
- Specific capabilities that Palo Alto brings to the table;
- How NTT will use these technologies internally, as well as externally for customers;
- Specific predictive security benefits this new partnership will deliver.
Gyde is CEO of the Security Division of NTT Ltd., having joined from its sister company Dimension Data, where he held several leadership roles, ultimately serving as its group executive of security. Prior to joining Dimension Data, he worked in such organizations as SurfControl Asia and Secure Computing, among others.
Soderlund is senior vice president of worldwide channels at Palo Alto Networks. Previously, he served as the organization's vice president of Americas channel sales, and before that held roles in such organizations as Imperva, Aruba Networks, Avaya, HP Networking, Fortinet, Extreme Networks and Cisco Systems.
