Mobile Security of Corporate Data

Jonathan Dale of Fiberlink on Tackling New Challenges
The mobile security focus has shifted from basic block-and-tackling to ensuring better productivity and corporate data protection, says Jonathan Dale of Fiberlink. What new challenges are posed?

"The number one [challenge] now and moving forward is corporate data - protecting it and also trying to figure out how users who are remote and mobile on these different form factors are accessing that data," Dale says. "That boils down to what type of applications will allow access to that data."

In an interview with Information Security Media Group at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit 2013, Dale discusses:

  • The evolution of mobile security;
  • Today's productivity and data security challenges;
  • How organizations are tackling these issues.

Dale is director of marketing at Fiberlink, focusing on the company's MaaS360 mobile device management solutions. He has played a major role in defining the MaaS360 services for visibility, control and mobility, and in managing the MaaS360 Management Center, the web-based management and reporting system at the heart of the MaaS360 Platform.
