“IAM is at the center of security,” Kakkar says. He adds that the COVID-19 pandemic and hybrid working have made it even more important to have a comprehensive IAM strategy because "Security needs to travel with the user."

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Kakkar also discusses:

  • Integrating a PAM strategy with the IAM framework;
  • Challenges in implementing passwordless authentication;
  • The importance of the single sign-on approach.

Kakkar is the group head of cybersecurity at Tricor Group. He has more than 13 years of experience in IT and security, and his specialties include understanding local and international regulations and compliance. In an earlier stint with a large SI, he worked hands-on to deliver end-to-end infosec, cybersecurity, and infrastructure solutions.
