“Using a threat defense platform to build consistent visibility across the environment to create a centralized dashboard for operations and security teams can help convert DNS into the first line of defense,” says Chawla, head of solutions architect for India and SAARC at Infoblox.

"Since DNS is a common denominator across operating environments for attackers, it is important to build unified and centralized security management protocol and harmonize DNS traffic and DNS visibility to manage all devices across on-premises, cloud, remote or at the edge," says Alvin Rodrigues, field chief security officer for the Asia-Pacific region at Infoblox.

In this video interview, as a preview to the upcoming virtual round table discussion, Rodrigues and Chawla discuss:

  • How to streamline DNS load-balancing operations;
  • Eliminating the gaps in building DNS as the first line of defense;
  • Establishing a defense-in-depth strategy to secure the hybrid cloud environment.
