"We're seeing cyber fuse together with multiple areas, like physical, supply chain, space, air, crypto, blockchains and things like that. Cyber is becoming a hundreds-of-billion-of-dollars market and growing. Innovation is really needed," DeWalt said.

In the meantime, the threats also keep growing. "Cyberattacks that have a kinetic ramification are what keeps me up at night," he said.

In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, DeWalt discussed:

  • Why cybersecurity literacy is such a huge problem;
  • Cloud security challenges and opportunities;
  • The importance of engaging boards of directors in cybersecurity.

DeWalt has more than three decades of experience and is one of the preeminent thought leaders in cybersecurity and technology. He has held more than 40 board of director roles at influential companies and is a member of CISA's cybersecurity advisory committee.
