Christiana Care Health System, which operates a network of hospitals, is working on several risk management priorities for 2018, including adopting the HITRUST framework, implementing appropriate controls for protecting against emerging threats and phasing in new security technologies, says Anahi Santiago, CISO.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Healthcare Security Summit in New York, Santiago also discusses:
- Why it's important for CISOs to have direct contact with the board of directors and executive management;
- Why CISOs need to collaborate with the chief privacy officer;
- Creating a risk management culture that emphasizes good cyber hygiene.
As Christiana Care Health System's CISO, Santiago provides strategic direction and oversight to a comprehensive security program; policy development; standards and controls implementation; training and awareness; regular risk assessment and mitigation; as well as partnerships with internal and external auditors.
