Jan is the Cyber Security Practice Leader of the firm. Jan has 20 years of IT Professional work experience in Banking and Retail Industries with specialization in the areas of Information Systems, IT Infrastructure, Information and Network Security. Jan is a former Manager for Advisory Services of one of the Big 4 audit firms. He also served as the Head of Information Security Department in one of the fast-growing thrift banks. His responsibility was to implement information security programs and report its effectiveness to the Management and the Risk Oversight Committees. He was also responsible for the assessment and monitoring of information technology related risks. He was formerly an IT Associate for a large retail company. He was responsible for maintaining hardware and software of point-of-sales (POS) servers and workstations. Also, part of his job was to support and maintain the local area network and active directory user configurations. He used to be with an IT service provider company, where he was responsible in maintaining and troubleshooting electronic fund transfer (EFT) POS terminals. He started his career as a junior system engineer for a large universal bank where he maintained hardware (e.g., data communications equipment and its related software). Jan earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of St. La Salle. He is a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and ITIL V4 Foundation certified.
